I recently had the opportunity of listening to the conversations of a group of individuals who represented a multitude of diverse racial, ethnic, political, financial and religious backgrounds and age groups. The principal topic of discussion in light of the upcoming 2013 Inaugural Ceremony of President Obama was, what their thoughts and opinions were concerning the current administration and it’s political agendas, as well as those of past administrations.

As many began to voice their views, it became very evident from the plethora of diverse subjects being discussed, that there existed a multitude of genuine profound heartfelt feelings and opinions regarding the accrued successes and failures of all the various administrations. Many were concerned with the initial pre-election promises made by each, and questioned the veracity of their intentions to sincerely bring them into fruition. I could sense the presence of a powerful undercurrent of disgruntlement that had developed within the group, as a result of the aftermaths of the downturned economy, increased interest rates, corporate downsizing, nationwide bank foreclosures, and  a host of red tape issues in the healthcare field that most blamed for the pro-longed sicknesess and deaths of many of their family members and friends.

Several individuals expressed overall feelings of “lost hope,” in light of the political, economic and social atmospheres that currently exist. One woman said that she felt as if her entire being, was daily being overshadowed by a “massive black cloud of unbridled chaos” causing her to experience incomprehensible suffering, anxiety and uncertainty in many areas and aspects of her life. Another individual said that the present state of affairs in this country had caused him to become so distraught, that he had seriously begun questioning the reality of whether God existed at all. Based on the resounding applause received in response to each comment, it was very evident that there existed a consensus of  of opinion within the group.

Not long after those comments were made, I noticed what initially seemed to be a subtle shift in the atmosphere of the meeting after a group of younger individuals who exhibited a much more aggressive manner of expression began to speak. They exhibited a very rambunctious nature in their manner of speaking, ending each of their comments with the phrase, “I know my truth”. My initial reaction to the statement was one of uncertainty. I presumed it to be an idiom, used among the younger generation that I was unfamiliar with. But then much to my surprise, several older individuals seemed to have become so influenced by the atmosphere created, that they began to interject their opinions, ending them with the same statement. While replaying the statement in my mind over and over, reviewing the context in which it had been used each time, I began to realize that the room had suddenly become very warm, and its’ air very dense. The atmosphere had become transformed and polluted with an air of narcissism. The body language, and facial expressions of some indicated that they had unknowingly slipped into a state of quiet desperation and intense excitement, waiting to be seen venting, the magnitude of their pain, frustration, anger, unhappiness and fears. I realized with complete amazement, that all of this had been birthed by the use of four words that had been spoken, the words, “I know my truth.” The adopted thoughts, opinions and actions that many had taken, or was giving serious consideration to taking in their futures, was being governed by “their own personal truths.

After I left the meeting I felt strongly compelled in my spirit, to delve deeper into the whole subject of “Truth”. I decided that it was absolutely mandatory that I be objective in my approach. The final definition would have to be totally uninfluenced by my personal thoughts or opinions. I went to the computer and began researching to determine the world’s view of “truth.” After much concerted time and effort, it became very evident that “truth” has for centuries, been a central subject among the world’s academia. The discipline of philosophy, has throughout the history of mankind made several attempts to define it. One definition said, “truth is conformation to fact or actuality.” Another said, “Truth is most often used to mean, in accord with fact or reality or fidelity to an original or to a standard or ideal.” Other definitions were basically the same or even more ambiguous. I was very dissatisfied with these definitions, so I decided that if I was going to define “Truth”, that I needed go to “The Source.” Since I know that God is the source of all things, I went to the foundational book of all books, The Bible. As soon as I made this decision, Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance a scripture in John 8:32, that I had read many times. I realized at that moment, that I had been favorably blessed with the foundation to build upon.

In John 8:32, Jesus said, And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.  After reading it several more times, Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance, several additional scriptures that I had read in the past in John 14:6, John 1:1-2, 14 and Colossians 1:15. In John 14:6, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” In John 1:1-2, 14 Apostle John wrote, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” Colossians 1:15, referring to Jesus Christ stated, He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. I wrote all the scriptures on a pad, and later realized that I had unconsciously underlined each one. After I reviewed them several more times, I realized their revelation.

“The Word” spoken of in John 1: 1-2, was actually a “living being" who was in the beginning with GOD. He stepped out of eternity and became flesh dwelling among us in the earth realm, as the only begotten Son of Father GOD, full of grace and truth. The word of God tells us that this Son (The Word), was Jesus Christ the anointed one, sent by His Father to save the world. Jesus Christ took all the sin of mankind (the entire world) upon himself. This same Jesus Christ spoken of again, in John 14:16, is also The Way, “The Truth” and The Life. He is the very image of His Father, the Sovereign, Almighty, Powerful GOD.  It is only through this same Jesus Christ, that anyone is able to have any kind of a relationship with GOD the Father. So although mankind has created a plethora of religions, such as Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. through which they say that they will communicate with God, Jesus Christ, the Son of God says, you will communicate with GOD, my Father only through me.  Any other way that you choose will be totally ignored. Knowing this, is essential not only for your present wellbeing, but also for your future wellbeing as well, if you are at all concerned about having any kind of a relationship with Almighty God.

Jesus Christ, the “Living Word” made a very definitive statement in John 14:6 saying, that “I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life and that no one is able to have a relationship with my Father except through me.” Many have asked the question, What gives Jesus Christ the right to make such a statement? Others have said that Jesus was a prophet only, and not the Son of God. Bible scripture provides the answer to the question , and the comment. In Philippians 2:9-11 it is written, "Therefore GOD has also highly exalted Him, and given the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of GOD the Father." In John 5:22-23 Jesus said, For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him." Colossians 1:16 speaks concerning Jesus saying, “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.” The ultimate stamp of validation and proof that power and authority has been bestowed upon Jesus Christ by His Father, is spoken by Almighty God Himself who endowed Jesus with “His Seal” in Hebrews 1: 8-10. It reads, But to the Son, He (GOD) says: "YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER; A SCEPTER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS THE SCEPTER OF YOUR KINGDOM. YOU HAVE LOVED RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HATED LAWLESSNESS; THEREFORE GOD, YOUR GOD, HAS ANOINTED YOU WITH THE OIL OF GLADNESS MORE THAN YOUR COMPANIONS. YOU, LORD, IN THE BEGINNING  LAID THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH, AND THE HEAVENS ARE THE WORK OF YOUR HANDS.

SIDE NOTE: Did you notice that Almighty Father God actually said to His Son "YOUR THRONE, O GOD”

and “GOD, YOUR GOD.   Did GOD call His Son, GOD?

It can be clearly seen that Jesus Christ is, as we would say in our modern day language,  “The Man” or “The One.” In Ephesians 1:20-22, it says,GOD has raised Jesus Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in heavenly places, far above all principality, and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. He has put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church. It appears that according to scripture, Almighty Father God says that His Son Jesus Christ unequivocally possesses all power and authority over the entire material world as well as that of the spiritual. So the question becomes, How does one develop a relationship with God, through His Son Jesus Christ? Bible scripture tells us in John 3:16-18, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. In 1Timothy 2:5, it says, For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. In Romans 10:9-10, it says:  that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” According to scripture, we see that the only way to know GOD, is to establish a relationship with His Son Jesus Christ by faith. You must believe that He is the Son of GOD, who died for your sins. You must be willing to repent (change your ways), and ask Him to come into your heart to be your Savior and Lord. Then you must believe that His Father, GOD raised Him from the dead. In accepting Jesus Christ, you are justified and made the righteousness of GOD Himself, through His Son. In other words, GOD looks at you as if you never sinned, because Jesus through the process of substitution took all of your sin, and the sin of everyone else on this earth, upon Himself. He in turn put all His righteousness on you and everyone else in return.

Jesus Christ allowed Himself to be cursed at, spit upon, and beat to the point that even several “non-biblical historian sources” reported that,  He didn’t look human anymore, because of all the blood flowing from the deep gashes cut in his flesh, and large chunks of skin literally hanging from His bones. He allowed Himself to suffer the shame and humiliation of being stripped totally naked (you never hear about that in books, or see pictures depicting it), and submitting Himself to crucifixion on a cross. It was the cruelest, most horrendous form of death created by the Romans, where He hung with large spikes driven through His hands and feet. All of this He did to save each and every one of us. All of this he did to purchase (redeem) us from the hands of Satan, God’s enemy. So in reality Jesus purchased us all with His precious shed blood, and we all belong to Him. If you have any doubts, take a look at what Romans 14:8 says. It reads, "For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s." All of this, Jesus did to guarantee the success of His Father’s eternal plan, to restore life and light to the world, that had become filled with sin, death and darkness created by Satan. GOD sent His Son Jesus Christ to the earth not only to be the sacrifice that would result in all  people who are willing, to receive redemption, justification and reconciliation, but also to provide every human being regardless of their race, skin color, sex, educational or financial backgrounds, etc. with the opportunity to avoid “HIS WRATH”, at the end of this “Age of Grace”. He sent His Son Jesus Christ to bring the entire human race, the two things, that they would need and require most, “Truth” and “Righteousness.”

In Hebrews 1:3 in the (CEV) Contemporary English Version of the Bible, scripture tells us “Jesus Christ has all the brightness of God's own glory and is like him in every way. By his own mighty word, he holds the universe together.” Jesus said, And you shall know "The Truth", and the truth shall make you free, I am the way, "The Truth", and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. After Jesus had washed away our sins by shedding His precious blood, Almighty GOD His father sat Him down in heaven, at  His right hand. GOD rewarded Jesus with all power, dominion and authority over all things, and beings in heaven, on earth,  and below the earth, because of His unwavering obedience and sacrifice, to do the HIS Soverign Will.

The Sovereign, Eternal, Everlasting, All Powerful, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent GOD wants all of HIS creation to know and understand, without a shadow of a doubt, that HE, and only HE alone, is the very "Substance and Essence of All Things.” He alone defines and determines “TRUTH.” HIS Truth is “the objective standard by which all of reality is measured.” Truth is only what HE says it is, and is based on HIS word written in Bible scripture. ALMIGHTY GOD wants all to know that HIS TRUTH, is totally independent of mankind’s menial thoughts, feelings, desires, opinions, philosophies, psychological theories, religious doctrines, religious rituals, intellectual academia, ad infinitum. Truth (the Word of GOD/Jesus Christ), is the only food (Bread of Life) that GOD has provided for the human spirit, that is able to release from man’s spirit (which is the seed of righteousness planted in the soul of man), the overflow of righteousness into the soul and body that will bring about the manifestation of God’s greatest pleasure, which should be the primary goal of every man and woman, the ultimate “sanctification of their souls”. Only then will they experience the required transformation and ultimate conformation to the likeness of their "Lord of Righteousness, Jesus Christ,  the Son of ALMIGHTY GOD.
